KYLIE KRAUSS

I began my mountain bike racing career at Warren Wilson College, where I served as captain for three years, helped lead the team to four consecutive 2nd place finishes at NCCA Nationals, and was crowned national collegiate champion in both the cross country and omnium in 2007, my forth and final season.

I upgraded to pro last year and since graduating from college I have been largely self-supported (although I do receive substantial moral support from local business ProBikes and Suspension Experts) while racing all over the Southeast. This past season, I focused mainly on the Southeastern Regional Championship series, finishing 2nd overall, and also on NMBS nationals, where I finished 3rd in the U-23 race.

Besides being a racer, I am very much an advocate of the cycling culture. I commute to work everyday, I have worked leading bike trips for teenagers, will be volunteering with the WWC cycling team this fall, and I have over 100 hours of documented volunteer trailwork in Western North Carolina.
